Title: Ash vs. Evil Dead Radio "Casting"

We open on someone walking into an office – We can hear actors warming up their voices and doing vocal exercises.

CASTING AGENT: Are you here for the casting?

DEADITE: (in a possessed voice) Good Afternoon. Yes. I’m here to read for Ash vs. Evil Dead. As a Deadite.

CASTING AGENT: Do you have any special Deadite talents?

DEADITE: I can rip off my skull and toss it into that trash pail.

CASTING AGENT: Okay. Let’s see…

SFX: Flesh ripping. Head being thrown. And hitting the rim of the garbage can, and in with a squish.

DEADITE: (from across the room, inside the garbage pail, yelling out) How’s That!?

CASTING AGENT: Not bad. Can you also remove your innards without over-acting?

DEADITE: Sure. No problem.

SFX: Innards ripped out, squishing noises.

CASTING AGENT: Nice moves. Can you work the spleen a little?

DEADITE:  Sure... I also do a decent soft shoe, if you want that sort of thing, too.

SFX: We hear a little soft shoe on the floor.

CASTING AGENT: We don’t need that yet. …Maybe for season two.

CASTING AGENT: (continuing) …Okay, we have a pretty big role you can read for. Here.

SFX: Paper being handed.

DEADITE: (clears his throat, or vocal exercises) “Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.”

CASTING AGENT: (pause) …That’s pretty good. Now spit up some blood.

DEADITE: With or without guts?

CASTING AGENT: …With please.

DEADITE: (while spitting up blood and guts) Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

VO:  The Evil Dead are back. (Ash and the Evil Dead are back.)

ANNCR: Ash vs. Evil Dead, Series premier, Saturday [Halloween Night] at 9 on Starz.

They were naked.
SFX:
Hey!

They were afraid.
SFX:
Ah!

They broke up.
SFX:
(Woman) Jerk!

They got back together.
SFX:
(Man) But I love you.

They broke up again.
SFX:
(Woman) $%#*-Hole!

They had the right answer. I mean, What is… they had the right answer.

They hooked up with another robot.
SFX:
(robotic voice) Who’s your daddy?

They got hit with a steel chair.
SFX:
Slam!

A spiked bat.
SFX:
Ew!

A life sentence.
SFX:
(Music sting) Bong…Bong

They flipped it. They fixed it. They listed it. They bought it. They sold it.

They found that drug lord.
